That Which Doesn't Kill Me, Makes Me Stronger.....Right???

I finally made the difficult decision to sell my beloved blue Toyota Sequoia, which I've owned since its birth in 2003.  I love that rig. However, due to my commute, I've only been driving my little black Kia, which blows the Sequoia to shame with its MPG.

I placed my Toyota on Craig's List; I also made plans for a road trip to see my brother in the Tri Cities this weekend as he has a potential buyer for the SUV.  I got a couple of calls on the rig yesterday so last night after work I hopped in to back it out of the garage, turned the key......and got nadda.  Click, click, click.  WTF???

After trying to start the beast several times, I trekked across the road to my neighbor Larry, who is a car aficionado and fixer extraordinaire.  Larry came over and cleaned the battery connections, sprayed a little something, and asked me to start the car.  More click, click.  I almost burst into tears.  He said "calm down...it's probably the starter and will be an easy fix."  Yeah right.  So that is our project tonight - a new starter.

I think old Blue knows her time has come and will only go kicking and screaming.  That vehicle has never given me any problems but yet here it comes time to sell her and bam!  Refuses to start.  Stubborn old gal!

Keep your fingers crossed for me that this is an easy and inexpensive fix.  I'll miss ya, Blue, but do me a favor and go quietly!!

Update - God smiled upon me as it turns out I simply had a dead battery.  Charged it for a few hours and the rig started like a champ!!  Whew...no fix-it bills for the Diva!!
